Passionate is the best way to describe how Jude Caserta approaches her job responsibilities each and every day. Whether it’s offering advice on budget matters or making sure each student-athlete and coach has the proper amount of meal money, Jude is the consummate advocate for the Athletic Department and the people who work around her.
Since moving from the Controller’s Office where she was the Director of Accounting from 1989-1991, to athletics, Jude has changed titles from athletic business manager to assistant athletic director. The title change is a reward not only for her knowledge of the world of finance and accounting but for her enthusiastic involvement in the day-to-day operations of the growing program. One thing that hasn’t changed is that the student-athletes at Canisius continue to be her top priority and everything she does and accomplishes is in the best interest of the institution. Jude is an alumnus of the college and has earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Canisius.
Did you know…that Jude has sung the National Anthem many times. Her first break came singing for Canisius and she has since sang for the NFL (Bills), NHL (Sabres and Anaheim Ducks), NBA (Toronto Raptors) and MLB (Toronto Blue Jays, Cleveland Indians and New York Mets). Jude’s goal is to fill a passport with stamps before it expires. She is well on her way as she’s been to wine tastings in the US, Canada, Italy, France, Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic.
