Canisius College is committed to an educational and work environment that is free from all forms of discrimination and harassment. The college is utilizing an online discrimination and harassment prevention training program through LawRoom. The online course is designed to increase awareness of harassment, types of harassment that exist and how to report incidents. In addition to Title VII, students, faculty and staff of educational institutions are also protected by Title IX, which prohibits sex discrimination – including sexual harassment and sexual violence – in any educational or athletic program or service of a federally funded school. Sex discrimination violates Title IX if it denies or limits a person’s ability to participate in or benefit from school programs or activities. Title IX also prohibits retaliation against someone who complains about or participates in investigations or proceedings involving sex discrimination.

In the coming days, faculty and staff will receive an email containing a link to the assigned course(s). The email will contain your username and password. All Canisius College faculty and staff are required to complete the new discrimination and harassment course(s).
