Kathy Hochul, lieutenant governor of New York State, visited Canisius yesterday to congratulate Marshal Filipowicz ’18, the recipient of the John P. Courtney ’58 Family Business Scholarship. The scholarship is named for Hochul’s father.
The scholarship is given to a graduate of either Bishop Timon-St. Jude High School (Courtney’s alma mater) or a city of Buffalo high school, who plans to study business administration and demonstrates financial need.
