Five Canisius College alumni are among the eight individuals selected by Buffalo School Superintendent Kriner Cash to assist him in turning around the city’s struggling schools.

The new Canisius “cabinet” members are current and former high-profile administrators. They are:

Anne K. Botticelli ’95 – The former assistant superintendent in West Seneca and past administrator in the Buffalo Public Schools is the new chief academic officer for the Buffalo School District. She oversees those departments responsible for curriculum and classroom programs.

Darren Brown MBA ’00 – Brown served as interim superintendent prior to Kriner Cash’s appointment and previously served as associate superintendent of the Buffalo Schools. He is now Cash’s chief of staff, tasked with assisting the superintendent with staff matters and special projects.

Sabatino Cimato MA ’02 – Cimato is the former principal of Hutchinson Central Technical High School. In his new cabinet position, he serves as associate superintendent for school leadership, overseeing a group of schools.

Kevin Eberle MS ’92 – Eberle is the past principal at Harvey Austin School. As a member of Superintendent Cash’s cabinet, he now serves as chief operating officer of the Buffalo School District and oversee its Financial and Operations departments.

James Weimer ’86, MS ’99 – Weimer is the former principal of Emerson School of Hospitality.  In his new cabinet position, he serves as associate superintendent for school leadership, overseeing a group of schools.
