“1989: The End of the System” will be open to view today, November 12, and will be shown through November at Canisius College Alumni Hall, located in the hallway between the Andrew L. Bouwhuis Library and Old Main. The exhibit, illustrated with photographs, posters, press cuttings, personal accounts and documents, gives the viewer a behind-the-scenes look at the transition towards democracy in Central and Eastern Europe from the origins of solidarity in Poland through to the fall of the Iron Curtain.

Prepared by the KARTA Center, the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York and the Polish Cultural Institute New York, the exhibit is hosted by the Permanent Chair of Polish Culture at Canisius College.
