Correction from last week: Faculty and staff are invited to join Canisius students and serve with Campus Ministry and the Buffalo Burrito Project tomorrow, September 22.

Father Patrick Lynch, S.J., and Joshua Russell, PhD, animal behavior, conservation and ecology, work together preparing snacks during a recent Burrito Project.

The Burrito Project is a ministry of hospitality and provides home-made burritos to the poor and homeless population in downtown Buffalo. The project is a ministry to some of the most vulnerable and forgotten of our society.

On the fourth Tuesday of each month volunteers prepare burritos in the kitchen in the Undercroft of Christ the King Chapel from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. The group then walks a four-mile route in downtown Buffalo from 7:15 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

A support vehicle follows us as we walk. Transportation is provided.

For further questions, or to sign up, contact Joe Van Volkenburg, in Campus Ministry, at Ext. 2875 or at vanvolkj@canisius.edu. Space is limited.
