This September, Campus Ministry is again offering the Jesuit Spiritual Exercises designed for any interested faculty or staff member. This retreat comes in different forms depending on the calling of each person. The experience involves some daily prayer/reflection, and meeting with a spiritual companion/director, every week or two.

There are two phases of the exercises designed for each individual:

The Preparation Experience is a gentle first step designed to deepen our faith in God’s love for each one of us. This phase opens us to our own spirituality. This experience is open to people of all denominations, religions and spiritualities.

The Spiritual Exercises in Everyday Life (SEEL) is the second step. Once each person has established his or her own daily rhythm of prayer/reflection, the formal Spiritual Exercises begin. These exercises, if completed, go through the school year.

You can choose the day and time of the first meeting. Available days and times include: today, September 9 at 10:00 a.m. or Thursday, September 10 at 3:00 p.m. Both meetings will take place in Old Main, Room 219.

If you are interested in learning more, please contact Father Tom Colgan, S.J. at colgant@canisius.edu or call 888-2488.

An inquiry does not obligate an individual to pursuing the exercises.
