The Canisius College Video Institute production of the September episode of “Kaleidoscope” premieres on Saturday, September 5, at 5:30 a.m. on WGRZ-TV 2. This 30-minute television program celebrates the religious diversity of our region and is produced in conjunction with the Network of Religious Communities. “Kaleidoscope” is rebroadcast each Friday at 6:35 p.m. on Time Warner Cable 20 and each Sunday at 8:00 p.m. on Time Warner 6 in Olean.

On the occasion of the High Holy Days, Rabbi Alex Lazarus-Klein talks with the founder and co-chairs of Temple Beth Tzedek Kesher about their efforts to provide meaningful connection, comfort and inclusion for those struggling with disabilities, frailty and illness.

Next, Dr. Stan Bratton talks with Vijay Chakravarthy, a practicing Hindu with Brahmin roots, about his commitment to Veda principles, his daily rituals, his understanding of the relationship between religion and science, and the celebration of the birth of Krishna.
