Faculty, staff and their family members are invited to join the Office of campus ministry and the Buffalo Burrito Project on Tuesday, June 23 and Tuesday, July 28.

The Burrito Project provides home-made burritos to the poor and homeless population in downtown Buffalo. This outreach ministry serves some of God’s most vulnerable and forgotten children.

Terri L. Mangione, PhD, vice president for student affairs and dean of students, center, prepares burritos with former students Jeff Amplement '12, and Jack Craig '12.

Burritos will be prepared in our kitchen, located in the Undercroft of Christ the King Chapel, from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

From 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m., the group will walk a four-mile route and serve about 80 burritos, snacks and cold drinks. (A campus ministry van follows the team as we walk).

You may choose to help prepare the burritos, prepare and serve or just serve. Most people do both.

To sign-up, simply email Joe Van Volkenburg at vanvolkj@canisius.edu. Please include name, email and cell number. Thank you for your consideration.
