The Canisius Athletic Department and the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) announced today that the 2015 MAAC Women’s Lacrosse Championship game, set for Sunday, May 3 at the Demske Sports Complex, will be televised live on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel across New York State (Channel 323) and on ESPN3, elsewhere.

The game will start at 12:05 p.m. with the winner earning the conference’s automatic berth into the 2015 NCAA Division I Women’s Lacrosse Championship.

Canisius earned the right to host this year’s MAAC Championship tournament after the Golden Griffins secured the regular-season conference title with a perfect 8-0 record.

The semifinal round of the 2015 MAAC Women’s Lacrosse Championship will be held at the Demske Sports Complex Friday, May 1, with No. 2 seed Fairfield playing No. 3 seed Monmouth at 4:30 p.m., followed by Canisius taking on No. 5 seed Marist at 8 p.m. Both of these games will be broadcast live through MAAC.tv.

Canisius is 12-5 overall on the year. The Griffs, the four-time defending MAAC champions, are currently riding an 11-game winning streak, which is a program record.
