FacTS Center: Information Technology Workshops and Resources

The Canisius College FacTS Center helps faculty and staff get the most out of information technology resources for teaching, scholarship and administrative work.

We offer training workshops for all faculty and staff, covering major productivity and teaching applications which take place in campus lab classrooms. We can also provide training workshops in Microsoft Office, Google Apps or teaching resources tailored for departments and offices.

Here is a list of the workshops we can offer. On our sign-up sheet, you can see upcoming workshops, enroll in as many workshops as you like, or inquire about custom workshops for your office or department.

On our wiki pages, we regularly create or update technology resources, include tutorials and tools for:
– Conducting and continuing your class during temporary circumstances when your classroom isn’t available (such as inclement weather, or while traveling).
– Getting started in teaching online or augmenting your face-to-face classes with powerful online tools.
– Using social media tools and websites effectively for your course, program, project or office.
– Learning about digital scholarly tools and projects, particularly in the emerging field of digital humanities.
