Canisius librarians Jessie Blum, Matt Kochan, and Lisa Sullivan were once again commended by the Western New York Library Resources Council (WNYLRC) for their outstanding work providing reference service via the library’s virtual reference service. This is the fourth time this academic year that these librarians have received a monthly service recognition.

The virtual reference service, Ask Us 24/7, provides access to librarians via chat 24 hours a day, seven days a week across the United States and England. The service, provided by a consortium of libraries, ensures students, faculty, and staff have real-time access to the virtual assistance of reference librarian when they need it most. Librarians identify themselves to patrons, and provide recommendations for access to resources at the patron’s home institution, as well as general reference.

Current Canisius students, faculty and staff have access to this service here.
