Linda Peterson ’69 PhD, adjunct professor in the Department of Physiological and Cellular Sciences at the University of British Columbia, will speak at Canisius in the Science Hall Commons on Tuesday, March 24 at 6:30 p.m. Peterson’s lecture is free and open to the public.

Peterson will discuss her educational and professional experiences, and what she has learned as a woman working in the sciences. She will provide advice and suggestions to students about professional school. A question and answer session will follow Peterson’s presentation.

Peterson also serves on the admissions committee for the University of British Columbia’s Medical School. Prior to her tenure at the University at British Columbia, Peterson was assistant dean for undergraduate medical education at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ottawa.
Her lecture is co-sponsored by the Women in Science Club, the Society of Pre-Health Professionals, BBB Biological Society and the American Chemical Society.
