Center for Professional Development

Richard A. Shick, PhD, dean of the Wehle School of Business, is pleased to announce that Frank Swiatek ’65 and his organization, will oversee the Canisius College Center for Professional Development (CPD) effective immediately. For nearly 40 years, Frank has headed Frank Swiatek & Associates, a leadership, management and consulting firm. He has served as a speaker, coach and consultant to countless businesses including 25 Fortune 500 companies. He is also the owner of Marketing-for-Results, a company he created in 2012 that helps small business owners optimize their marketing assets.

Frank has been working closely with the Center for Professional Development over the last year and has been instrumental in the Center increasing its visibility and utilization for the Western New York business community.

Stephanie Cattarin, former executive director, has left the college to pursue other opportunities. We wish her well.

Please welcome Frank as he takes on his new role at the college.

Global Game Jam at Canisius

Global Game Jam (GGJ) is the world’s largest game jam event, during which artists and developers create games in a period of 48 hours. GGJ 2015 in Buffalo is organized this year by the Buffalo Game Space in collaboration with the Canisius College Digital Media Arts Program. This year’s event will take place in Science Hall on Friday, January 23 through Sunday, January 25. Admission is free and open to all. Registration starts on Friday at 3 p.m. Artists and developers interested in participating in the event are encouraged to register ahead of time at: http://globalgamejam.org/2015/jam-sites/buffalo-game-space-canisius
