Pianist Jennifer Campbell will perform on campus Saturday, March 1, at 3:00 p.m. Her performance, which will take place in the Montante Cultural Center, is free and open to the public. The program will include works by Schubert, Beethoven, Scriabin, Debussy, Dorman and Brown.
Jennifer Campbell was a finalist in the 2012 Sixth New York International Piano Competition, a biennial event presented under the auspices of The Stecher and Horowitz Foundation. Her extensive repertoire ranges from works of J.S. Bach to Israeli composer Avner Dorman. She has appeared on U.S. and Danish Television and radio, and was featured in the PBS documentary about the 5th Julia Crane International Piano Competition.
A proponent of bringing classical music into local communities, Campbell is a coordinator for Creative Access, a program that brings music to homeless centers, hospitals, schools and retirement homes in the Baltimore area.
