Your Canisius men’s basketball team completes its weekend series against the conference heavyweights with a 2 p.m. game Sunday afternoon against Iona. The Gaels enter weekend play tied with your Griffs for first place in the MAAC.
Aside from the game which will feature two of the highest scoring teams in the league, Canisius will also induct five individuals and one team into its Sports Hall of Fame. Highlighting the ceremonies will the awarding of the first-ever Father Dugan award to Dr. Keith Stube. Father Dugan will be present at the ceremonies.
Also being inducted are Derrick Bishop (hockey), Brian Dux (basketball), Mark Miyashita (lacrosse), Jill Wright (synchronized swimming) and the 1994 Golden Griffin softball team. An 11 a.m. brunch at the Montante Cultural Center will precede the halftime ceremonies at the game.
