On February 14-15, Canisius All-College Honors faculty & students will host the 9th annual meeting of Jesuit Honors Programs. The purpose of this gathering of the Association of Jesuit Colleges & Universities (AJCU) is to improve Honors education and to further the Ignatian ideal of “magis”—doing and being “more.” President John Hurley will welcome the participants. Among the Canisius faculty presenters will be Dr. Robert Butler and Dr. Mick Cochrane from the English department. Other Canisius participants include Sr. Pat Brady, Fr. Patrick Lynch, SJ, and Fr. Michael Tunney SJ, who will preside over Saturday evening Mass at Christ the King Chapel. AJCU president Fr. Michael Sheeran, SJ, will also address the conference. The conference schedule is posted on the Honors website (canisius.edu/honors).
