Welcome to The Dome

Welcome to the first edition of The Dome! We listened to what you had to say and created a new and improved version of our online employee newsletter.

In addition to its new look, you now have the flexibility to read The Dome in its entirety or to view only articles of interest. Added features include links to MyCanisius, Calendar of Events and Faculty and Alumni Profiles. In an effort to include additional photos in The Dome, we added Campus Candids for photos of our faculty, staff, students and events. We encourage you to contribute photos to this section using the Submit a Photo button.

Keep sending us your thoughts and suggestions so that, together, we can continue to improve our employee newsletter. Click around, enjoy The Dome, and keep in touch.

Campus Candids

Canisius students volunteered with the Benedictine Sisters of Erie, PA during Winter Service Week.  Kaitlyn Buehlmann ’14 helps a young man with his project at the Neighborhood Art House. The Neighborhood Art House provides classes in the visual, performing and literary arts to at at-risk children in Erie. This program, conducted in a safe, nourishing and caring environment, is provided at no cost to the children who attend classes.

Guess What Day It Is?

Petey, Petey, Petey…Guess what day it is?

It’s Game Day and your Griffs are hosting Niagara in the sold out Koessler Center tonight at 7 p.m. If you have tickets, make sure to arrive early and enjoy all the pre-game antics. If you failed to pick up your seats, you can either listen to the game on 1400 AM or watch on gogriffs.com.

The contest features two of the nation’s top three scorers with the Griff’s Billy Baron ranking third in the country at more than 23 points per game. At stake for Canisius are Battle of the Bridge points and a spot at the top of the MAAC.

If you don’t have tickets and want to participate in the festivities, stop by the Faculty Dining Room from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and donate blood in the annual Battle of the Bridge Blood Drive.

The Griffs return home Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. to host Marist. Get your tickets by calling 888-2885.
