Canisius College Chorale Continues Sacred Spaces Concert Series With Performance in Annunciation Church, Elma.

The Canisius College Chorale, under the direction of Frank Scinta, will continue its busy 2013 Sacred Spaces concert series with a program on Monday, November 25 at 7:30 p.m. in Annunciation Church, 7580 Clinton Street, Elma, NY.

Featured will be works by Hogan,Vivaldi, Dawson, Ticheli and others. Admission is free and all are welcome.

Sacred Spaces stems from an idea the choir proposed nine years ago to feature its music in some of Western New York’s most beautiful and acoustically resonant environments – namely, the sanctuaries of our area’s churches. As a result, the choir has visited nearly forty houses of worship with its repertoire of sacred and secular music spanning five centuries.

Please join us for a lovely evening of great choral music!

For more information contact Frank Scinta at X 2536 or by email at scintaf@canisius.edu.

President Hurley Hosts 2nd Town Hall Meeting Today (Nov. 21)

President John J. Hurley will host his second of two Town Hall meetings for the fall semester today, November 21, from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. in the Regis Room North.

The Town Hall meetings are intended to continue open dialogue among faculty, staff and administrators about the opportunities and challenges facing Canisius.  President Hurley and the vice presidents will be in attendance to provide updates on the status of the college, including progress with the strategic assessment and other important developments.

The Town Hall meetings have proved to be not only informative but also excellent opportunities for the exchange of ideas among colleagues.  If you have any additional questions or would like more information, contact the President’s Office at Ext. 2100.
