Student clubs and local professionals, in conjunction with the Canisius College Career Center, are sponsoring several career-related programs in early November. Students are encouraged to attend.

Wednesday, Nov. 6, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. in Regis South (5:00-7:00 LinkedIn photo booth)
For education majors of all certification areas – On-the-spot resume and cover letter review and photos taken for LinkedIn. Students who already applied for fingerprint cards will be able to get their fingerprints done, too! Sponsored by TED and SHaPE

Monday, Nov. 11, 6:00 p.m. at J.P. Bullfeathers, 1010 Elmwood Ave.
Juniors and seniors of all majors – Dinner hosted by Prudential. Students are invited for an evening of networking with local management to get an inside look into a career in financial services. Contact the Canisius College Career Center to RSVP. Dress is business casual.

Open to all students-Workshop to learn how to use LinkedIn for career networking and planning. Local professionals who use LinkedIn to recruit will review and provide tips on profile development, and talk about the dos and don’ts on creating an online professional presence. Sponsored by SHRM and AMA

Tuesday, Nov. 12, 3:30 p.m. in Churchill Tower 203
Open to all students – Representatives from Mayor Byron Brown’s Urban Fellows Internship Program (UFIP) will be on campus to share information about the program. UFIP is designed to introduce the region’s college students and recent graduates to local government and public service, through hands-on practical learning experiences. Sponsored by the Career Center.
