Men’s Hoops Home on Wednesday Night

Your Canisius men’s basketball team concludes its exhibition schedule Wednesday night with a game against Mercyhurst University. Tip off is slated for 7 p.m. at the Koessler Athletic Center. For tickets call 888-2885.

The regular season opener is slated for Nov. 11 versus South Dakota.

Remembrance Service this Thursday

A Remembrance Service will be held on Thursday, November 7 at 5:10 p.m. in Christ the King Chapel. The service will feature an interdenominational service of music, readings and reflection to remember our loved ones who have died.

If you wish to have your loved ones remembered, please give their names to Campus Ministry (x2420) by noon Tuesday, November 5.

Please join us at this service to light a candle in remembrance of your loved one.

Get Your Game on at the Sports Forum

The Canisius College Master in Sport Administration Program will host its first Sports Forum on Friday, November 8, from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. in the Richard E. Winter ’42 Student Center (Regis North and South).

The one-day conference was developed to educate current and future professionals about the various aspects and opportunities in the sports industry. Intercollegiate athletics, business development and marketing, professional sport, event planning and facility management are a few of the topics that will be discussed throughout the day.

A total of 25 guest speakers are scheduled to speak at the Sports Forum. Each is an alumnus/a of Canisius’ master’s program in sport administration.

ArtsCanisius Upcoming Events

This Sunday, November 10, ArtsCanisius presents a Student/Faculty Recital at 3 p.m. and on Monday, November 11 the next Meet-the-Faculty Recital at noon featuring violist Leslie Salathé. Both events are in the Montante Cultural Center.

The Student/Faculty recital features performances given by Canisius students (both music majors and non-majors) and faculty, including two of the newest members of our faculty: flutist Nicole McPherson and clarinetist Elizabeth Widzinski.

The Meet-the-Faculty Recital featuring Leslie Salathé also includes BPO cellist Nancy Anderson and pianist Alfred Frenning in performances of works by Bartok, Bridge, Handel and Kalliwoda.
