Marco F. Benedetti is the new vice president for business and finance at Canisius College, effective November 4. As a member of the college’s senior administrative team, Benedetti is responsible for all financial and administrative functions of the college, including finance, audit, facilities, human resources and business services. He will work closely with President John J. Hurley to formulate the institution’s overall fiscal strategies and serve as liaison to several Board of Trustees committees.
Benedetti has 25 years of experience in building and leading accounting and finance teams. He was most recently with Greatbatch Inc., the Clarence-based publicly-traded medical device and technology company, where he served as vice president of finance in charge of financial planning and analysis, investor relations and treasury activities. Benedetti previously was director of finance and corporate controller at International Imaging Materials, Inc. (IIMAK). He began his career in auditing in the Buffalo office of KPMG. Benedetti holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in management information systems and an MBA with concentrations in accounting and finance from the University at Buffalo. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
