Today, from 12:00 p.m. – 12:45 p.m., a Latino/a Heritage Program in the Soup With Substance Series will be held in Regis South of the Student Center. It is free and open to the public.

Dr. Julia Wescott of the Department of Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures will host an interview program with Gilbert Hernandez, host of WIVB-TV’s “Hispanic Voices” and Edwin Martinez, publisher of “Panorama Hispano News” to discuss perspectives of local Latinos/as, Latin Americans and Caribbean Islanders.

Chartwell’s Dining Services, which co-sponsors the Soup With Substance Series with the ALANA Student Center, will provide a vegan Venezuelan Pabellon Criollo (black bean) soup and Mayan hot chocolate as the beverage during the program.
