Manav Ratti, assistant professor of English at Salisbury University, Maryland, will speak at Canisius College TONIGHT at 7:00 p.m. in Regis South. His lecture, entitled “Deadly Divisions: The Violence of Nation and the Birth of Modern India,” is free and open to the public. Dr. Ratti holds PhD and master’s degrees from Oxford University, a master’s degree from Cambridge University, and completed his bachelor’s degree at the University of Toronto. He is a recent Fulbright Scholar at New York University, and is the author of The Postsecular Imagination: Postcolonialism, Religion, and Literature (New York and London: Routledge, 2013).
