The Canisius College Disability Support Services Office is responsible for notification of any academic accommodation for the student(s) registered in your class that has been identified as having a disability. Each student has provided DSS with the proper documentation regarding his or her disability.

It is integral that our community adheres to the legal framework established by Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. Necessary accommodations for student success must be implemented while maintaining the highest level of academic standards and integrity for which the faculty and staff here at Canisius are so well known.

Academic Accommodation Notifications are available online via the Canisius Portal. Please log into the myCanisuis portal page and in the “online tool section” to the left of the screen, click onto All Applications and Services to see your Faculty Services which will appear in the center of the page. Click on Academic Accommodations and it will automatically take you to the page where you can view courses for the current semester that have students with accommodations. Once you have viewed the student accommodation information for each course, please check the box acknowledging you have viewed the information and click the Save Acknowledgements button to confirm receipt.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact Jennifer Herrmann at herrman1@canisius.edu or Ext. 3748.
