Don’t throw that spent fluorescent tube in the trash. It’s against (EPA) laws. It’s ok at home, but not at work. Fluorescent tubes contain mercury, which is harmful to the environment.
Facilities Management collects spent tubes and arranges for pick up by a licensed disposer.

Universal Waste, which includes non-alkaline batteries and most electronics, can also be recycled.

Batteries can be dropped off at HO-209; Monday through Friday, between 9:00 a.m and 4:30 p.m. There is a receptacle immediately inside the door. Disposal of electronic waste, to include monitors and TV sets, is handled by ITS. Consult the ITS website.
