A Christmas Mass will be offered at 11:30 a.m. in Christ the King Chapel on Friday, December 21, followed by the employee Christmas luncheon from Noon – 1:30 p.m. in the Peter Gust Economy Dining Hall. Please take this time to visit with and enjoy the company of our college community as we come together to celebrate Christmas and the blessings of our friends and co-workers.

This year, in the spirit of giving, members of the Canisius community attending the events are asked to bring a non-perishable food item(s) to benefit St. Luke’s Mission of Mercy in Buffalo.

St. Luke’s serves 600 people in their dining room each day. They also run a Food Pantry, a Mission Mall, and a Catholic Home School. In addition, they have two residences for men and 25 area homes where they shelter women and children. Canisius students serve meals in their dining room several times a week, tutor in their school and often are directly serving the poor on Saturday mornings.

Drop off bins will be located in the Faculty Lounge and in Campus Ministry from December 7-21, as well as in the dining hall during the Christmas luncheon.

No RSVP is necessary and employees are released to begin their holiday immediately following the luncheon. Happy Holidays!
