Swim/Dive Teams Host Binghamton

Your Golden Griffin men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams get their feet wet with some serious competition this weekend when they host SUNY Binghamton on Sunday afternoon. The meet starts at 12:30 pm in the KAC pool.
There is no admission fee, however, arrive early, as the popularity of the team guarantees a standing room only crowd every time the Griffs take the deck.

All Night Long …In the Library

Back by popular demand —during the semester’s final weeks, the Andrew L. Bouwhuis Library will remain open 24 hours Sunday through Thursday with regular hours on Friday and Saturday. Extended hours begin this Sunday, December 2 at 11 a.m. and will continue through Saturday, December 15 when the library will close at 5 p.m.

During this period, additional “Silent Study” areas will be designated in the Library Instruction Room on the first floor, and Library Conference Room on the lower level. Guidelines for use of these rooms will be posted in the areas. Online room reservations will be available for other group study rooms. A reference librarian and other staff members will be available for assistance throughout the 24 hour opening period, and public safety also will be in the library during this time.

Students, faculty and staff are reminded that after 10 p.m. a valid Canisius College I.D. will be necessary to enter the library.

Please note—weekend hours remain in effect for Friday and Saturday.

The extended opening schedule is as follows:

The library will open Sunday, December 2 at 11 a.m. and remain open for 24 hours through Friday, December 7 with closing at 8 p.m. On Saturday, December 8 regular hours are in effect from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. The library reopens Sunday, December 9 at 11 a.m. and remains open for 24 hours through Friday, December 14 with closing at 5 p.m. Saturday, December 15 hours will be 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Canisius College Presents Sheri Holman

On Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in Regis South.

Sheri Holman is the author of four award-winning and bestselling novels including The Dress Lodger, a New York Times Notable Book; The Mammoth Cheese, named a Publisher’s Weekly and San Francisco Chronicle Book of the Year, and most recently, Witches on the Road Tonight which won the 2011 Shirley Jackson Award for Best Novel.

Event is free and open to the public.
