When walking or driving your car, watch for snowplows. They can’t maneuver like cars and they tend to do unpredictable things. The operator may not even see you.

Facilities Management does a great job clearing our lots and sidewalks. However, some campus areas may be unshoveled or unsalted when you arrive. Wear proper foot gear and take safe steps. Don’t let a slip or fall spoil your holidays.

At home: Employ good lifting techniques when shoveling. Avoid back injuries. Don’t lose a finger or toe to a snow blower. Respect machinery. Don’t forget to winterize your car.
