The Canisius College Chorale, under the direction of Frank Scinta, will join the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Matthew Kraemer in a performance of Antonio Vivaldi’s Gloria in D on Wednesday, November 7 at 7:30 pm in the Montante Cultural Center. Canisius fine arts professors Melissa Thorburn and Cristen Gregory will serve as soloists in the work.

Maestro Kraemer also will lead the orchestra in the Tchaikovsky Suite No. 4 in G major (Mozartiana) and John Williams’ Concerto for Tuba and Orchestra featuring BPO member Don Harry as soloist.

Tickets are $25 general seating and $10 for students. They may be purchased in the Fine Arts Office (Lyons 402) or online at canisius.edu (search: BPO concert).

Now in its 15 season, Canisius College Chorale remains one of Western New York’s most active collegiate music ensembles. Composed of 120 undergraduate and graduate members, the chorale regularly presents concert programs to school, church, and community audiences throughout Western New York and Southern Ontario. In recent years, the Chorale has performed with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, Ars Nova Chamber Musicians, Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus and the Dave Brubeck Quartet.
