ArtsCanisius presents a Meet-the-Faculty recital at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 23 at St. Joesph’s University Church, 3269 Main Street, Buffalo, New York. Roland Martin, organist, and guest, Jean Marie Stackpoole, will offer a program with music by J.S. Bach, Samuel Scheidt, Max Reger and others.
As organist, Martin has given recitals throughout the United States, including the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., and has performed in Canada, Spain, France, Germany, Austria, Italy and England, as well as annual concerts in Belgium. In October 2000, he debuted as soloist with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra in a performance of the Rheinberger Organ Concerto No. 2.
Martin was the 2008 recipient of the Individual Artist Award from the Arts Council of Buffalo and Erie County.
