SMART Board User’s Group

A SMART Board User’s Group is forming! The SMART Board User’s Group will hold an inaugural meeting on Friday, November 9th at 1:30 p.m. in the Library Conference Room in the Lower Level of the library. The purpose of this group is to share ideas and learn new integration strategies for using the SMART Board in the classroom. If you don’t use a SMART Board but are interested in learning more, please feel free to attend.

At our first meeting to get us started with dialogue and sharing, I will highlight a few of the new features within SMART Notebook 11.

Nelson D. Civello ’67 Family Financial Markets Lab

Please join your fellow Canisius community members on Monday, October 22nd at 3:30 pm as we recognize the generosity of our benefactors and celebrate the renovation and expansion of the Nelson D. Civello ’67 Family Financial Markets Lab. The dedication will be held in the Financial Markets Lab, located on the first floor of Old Main. The formal program will begin at 4:00 pm. Remarks will be shared by: Dr. Rick Wall, interim vice president for Academic Affairs; Nelson Civello ’67, former professor; Christopher Hugar ’08, graduate of the Golden Griffin Fund; Mike Piemonte, director of the Golden Griffin Fund; and Dr. Dick Shick, dean Emeritus. All are welcome and encouraged to attend!

In Need of a Passport?

In need of a passport?

On Monday, October 29th there will a represetnative from the Erie County Clerk’s Department present in the Study Abroad Office (HO 014) to process passport applications.

Two passport photos can be taken for $10 (or you can provide one that was taken elsewhere.)

The representative will be able to expedite passports in 3 – 5 days for those that may need them in a hurry.
