The Women’s Studies (WST) department is pleased to announce the I. Joan Lorch award winners for 2012. The award is given to those members of the Canisius College community whose work has furthered the causes of women on campus and in the community.
We extend an invitation to the Canisius College community to join us in honoring our winners at the WST Spring Luncheon on Friday, March 23 from Noon – 2 p.m. in Regis North. Christine Ambrosone, PhD, from the Roswell Park Cancer Institute will present her research in disparities in breast cancer treatment of African-American women at the luncheon. Congratulations to the following awardees:
- Faculty: Ellen Barnum, adjunct professor, fine arts
- Administrator: Luanne Firestone, associate campus minister, campus ministry
- Staff: Susan Sedia, administrative associate, management
- Student: Margaret Zimmer ’12
