The final Informally~Formal Chamber Recital of the year is tonight (March 6) at 7:30 p.m. in the Montante Cultural Center.  The program features BPO second trombonist Timothy Smith performing works from the Baroque Era to Contemporary music from the late 20th Century.

The performance begins with the Concerto for Alto Trombone written by Leopold Mozart (W.A. Mozart’s father) and includes an arrangement of the adagio from J.S. Bach’s Concerto for Violin and Oboe, music for trombone and French horn, a piece for trombone trio and one for unaccompanied trombone.  Smith will be joined by several of his colleagues from the BPO for this performance.

Tickets are $15 general admission and $7 students, and can be purchased at the door or online here.
