Informally-Formal Chamber Recital Valentines Day

Bring a Valentine to the Informally-Formal chamber recital on Tuesday, February 14 at 7:30 p.m. in the Montante Cultural Center.  The concert will feature the percussionists of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra – Matthew Bassett, Mark Hodges and Dinesh Joseph – as well as pianist Emily Boyce, BPO principal bassist Daniel Pendley and Amy Glidden, the BPO’s associate concertmaster.

This is an unusual and exciting opportunity to hear percussion used as a melodic instrument in a chamber music setting.  The program highlights a series of duos for marimba and piano, marimba and violin and two marimbas as well as a work for timpani and double bass.

Tickets are $15 general admission and $7 for students and can be purchased online here or at the door. Additional information including the full program can be found here.
