As planning is currently in process for large-scale academic events such as Ignatian Scholarship Day and Commencement, the Office of Academic Affairs has hired Amanda J. Snider, presently undergraduate admissions counselor and events coordinator for admissions, will assume duties as the Special Events Coordinator for Academic Affairs beginning with the spring semester 2012. She replaces Rose Marie Castner who previously oversaw academic events.
In addition to Ignatian Scholarship Day and Commencement, Snider will also manage other academic events including Spring Honors Convocation. She will work with a broad array of faculty and staff members throughout the college in the production of these significant events.
Currently, Snider works one day per week in the Office of Academic Affairs and will move to academic affairs full time next month. Snider can be reached at Ext. 2123 or by Email at snidera@canisius.edu.
