Women’s Lacrosse Hosts Siena Sunday (April 17)

The Canisius women’s lacrosse team will host Siena Sunday (April 17) at 11 a.m. at the Demske Sports Complex.  There is no admission charge.

The Griffs are enjoying one of their finest seasons in school history with an overall record of 9-4 and a 3-1 mark in conference play.  Siena is 6-6 and 1-2 in the MAAC.

Chamber Orchestra Concert Sunday (April 17)

The Canisius College Chamber Orchestra directed by Ansgarius Aylward performs their final concert of the academic year on Sunday (April 17) at 7:30 p.m. in the Montante Cultural Center.  The program features music by Scarlatti, Telemann, Haydn, Mozart, George Gershwin and Annie Lennox.  Admission is free and the concert is open to the public.

Bookstore Welcomes New Textbook Manager

Follett Higher Education Group at Canisius has hired Nancy Safe as textbook manager.  Safe has extensive experience in higher education book stores and banking, and, most recently, was textbook supervisor at Follett’s University at Buffalo North Campus location.  At UB, she worked with publishers, oversaw fulfillment of online orders, and hired, trained and supervised floor staff at one of Follett’s largest stores in Western New York.  Safe will be responsible for working with faculty, assisting in the textbook adoption process, and ensuring that textbooks are ordered and received in a timely manner.  Please feel free to stop at the bookstore to meet with Safe or call her at Ext. 3256.

Independent Health To Discuss Medicare Primary Plans

A representative from Independent Health will be on campus April 20 in Lyons Hall, Room 118 at 11 a.m.to discuss Medicare primary plans.  The presentation will include an overview of the two college sponsored plans that are available to full-time faculty and staff when they retire as well as individual plans available with Independent Health.

Baseball Begins Six Game Homestand Today (April 14)

The Canisius College baseball team opens a six game homestand today (April 14) with a single game against visiting LeMoyne.  First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m. at the Demske Sports Complex.
