The ninth annual Western NY Student Composers’ Workshop featuring the winners of the First Annual “Persis Vehar Competition for Excellence in Composition” is today (March 29) at 7:30 p.m. in the Montante Cultural Center. The performance features works by area high school and college age composers and should be a delight. The competition was created by Canisius College Composer-in-Residence Persis Vehar and Michael Colquhoun, adjunct professor at Canisius. Admission is free.
