Bruce J. Dierenfield, PhD, director of the All-College Honors program and former director of the African American Experience program, will speak about the work and legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, and the future of civil rights during a 2010-2011 Soup with Substance lecture on Wednesday (February 2) from noon – 12:30 p.m. in Regis South. A 15-minute question and answer session will follow the half-hour presentation. This program is free and open to the public.
Come celebrate the legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with food for the body and nourishment for the heart and mind. The program will also feature a performance by celebrated gospel singer Bessie Patterson, coordinator of Buffalo’s annual MLK celebration.
