“SoupHerb” Collection Starts Today (January 21) In Library

The Canisius College Andrew L. Bouwhuis Library, in conjunction with the Office of Campus Ministry and Office of Multicultural Programming, is sponsoring “SoupHerb,” a collection for canned soup and dried herbs to benefit the South Buffalo Community Table.  Donations of canned or boxed soup and broth, dried herbs and spices, and dried beans, including split peas can be placed in the bin, located near Moses the Griffalo on the first floor of the library.  Donations will fill the pots that fill the bowls that fill the stomachs of those who need extra warmth this winter.

The South Buffalo Community Table, founded in 1983 by the South Buffalo Ecumenical Association, helps the growing number of poor and homeless living in the community 52 weeks a year.  Hundreds of volunteers, including Canisius College students, faculty and staff assist the South Buffalo Community Table to serve the hungry.

The “SoupHerb” Collection continues until February 16.  For more information about the South Buffalo Community Table and Canisius involvement, click here.
