Best-selling author Dennis Lehane will visit the college on Thursday (October 7) in the Montante Cultural Center as part of the college’s Contemporary Writers Series.  Lehane will read from his works at 7:30 p.m., followed by an audience question and answer period.  The evening events, which are all free and open to the public, will conclude with a reception and book-signing.

Lehane is the author of eight novels, including The New York Times bestsellers Gone Baby Gone, Mystic River and Shutter Island, The Given Day, as well as Coronado, a collection of short stories and a play.  Lehane’s most recent novel, Moonlight Mile, the sequel to Gone, Baby Gone, will be released on November 2.  He also wrote three episodes of the popular television series “The Wire” and taught fiction writing at Harvard University.  Lehane currently serves as a board member for the MFA program of Pine Manor College.
