I’m sure you’ve heard about Fibonacci numbers, but what about the Fibonacci word? Like how Fibonacci numbers are created by repeated addition, the Fibonacci word is created by the repeated concatenation of the previous numbers in the sequence. Next Wednesday I’ll talk about some properties of this as well as structures called quasicrystals.
I am very excited to listen to your talk next week. I was fascinated when I first learned about how Fibonacci numbers apply to flower petals out in nature. I think it will be very interesting to hear about how the the Fibonacci numbers can also be associated with letters or strings of letters.
The Fibonacci word is something I have never heard about. The same goes for quasicrystals. I am looking forward to learning about these topics and seeing how they relate to Fibonacci numbers!
I am very excited to learn more about the Fibonacci word in your talk! I have not heard of this before, so it is interesting to see an extension of the Fibonacci sequence that I never knew existed. Your connection to quasicrystals sounds interesting as well. I have also not heard of this, so I am looking forward to learning more about this topic. Sequences are a versatile and extensive subject. It will be interesting to hear how the sequence structure relates to the structure of quasicrystals. I am looking forward to this!
I am very much looking forward to learning about the Fibonacci word. I have heard about Fibonacci numbers, but I am curious about how this applies to words. I think that sequences are cool and quasicrystals sounds like a very cool topic. Super excited!
