Encourage your student to learn more about Campus Ministry’s service-immersion program! We choose teams of students, faculty and staff and intentionally place them in direct contact with the poor and marginalized for extended exposure experiences in the hopes that participants will learn the value of building relationships across socio-economic lines, increase their awareness of the injustices in the world and connect to the ways that they are being called to build up our human family—with a special concern for those most disadvantaged. Our program revolves around the four cornerstone values of simplicity, spirituality, social justice and solidarity.
Our domestic program is called Winter Service Week (WSW) and runs in early January to Syracuse and Lyons in NY, Erie, PA and Wheeling, WV. Our international program runs over the summer and we travel to the U.S./Mexico border, Jamaica, El Salvador and Poland. For more information, check out our website.
Applications due Wednesday, September 27. A copy of the application is attached. 2017-2018 Service Immersion Application
