It certainly doesn’t feel like spring in Western New York, but all of the activity on campus reminds us of where we are in the academic year! (Luckily, the tunnel system on campus allows our students to enjoy wearing their shorts and flip-flops even with snow lingering in the weather forecasts.) Once we move past spring break, students and faculty enter the final stretch, graduating seniors excitedly prepare for Commencement, and students begin making their summer plans. As you will see in this month’s newsletter, Canisius offers a range of services to guide and support students and families as they transition into the next season of their academic and professional careers. Internship and career development counseling and a range of workshops are readily available to help students take their next steps. This, coupled with the tremendous guidance of our faculty, all amount to outstanding results for Canisius students. Whether it is the research, scholarship, artistry and talent showcased at our annual Ignatian Scholarship Day, in rankings such as US News and World Report, which just last month named Canisius’ flexible MBA among the top part-time MBA programs in the nation and the #1 private, part-time program in the Buffalo/Niagara region, or the international acclaim for Canisius’ Golden Griffin Fund program, these are just some of the ways our students demonstrate the value of the Canisius experience. I know students are working very hard, and I wish all of them the very best as they enter these final weeks of the semester.
