In the Library Resource Center Classroom

On March12th, 2019, Dr. Patricia Coward conducted a workshop where participants explored emerging digital resources for student research.  Library databases have been a common resource supplied by academic libraries for at least a decade.  But newer digital collections provide students with video and curated document sets ideal for promoting classroom or online conversations surrounding justice, public policy, scientific debates, or ethics.

A central, cross-disciplinary problem for academics is information literacy.  Workshop participants discussed the challenges and options for promoting good source discovery and evaluation practices among students.
