This is the website for our Undergraduate Communications Studies Program. Through this site we hope to offer resources for students, as well as provide information and updates about alumni, things going on within the department and more!
The blog is written and managed by Graduate Assistant Sarah Seiler, who is currently in the Communication and Leadership Program here at Canisius. There will also be guest bloggers, such as professors, current students and even alumni in order to bring diverse perspectives and mindsets to our blog!
If there are ever any recommendations you have for the blog or if you are interested in submitting a post/article/etc. for consideration for the blog, please fill out the Contact Us information at the bottom of the page. We want your input!
“Does spirituality enhance a society? Does it increase quality of life? Is modernization a negative in the betterment of society?”
These are the questions that Canisius College students Katie Cosgrove and Tyler Kauffmann explored through their documentary The Poverty Parallel, screening Wednesday March 2 at 7pm in Science Hall Commons. The event is FREE and open to the public! Following the screening there will be a panel discussion and refreshments.
Our Canisius alumni are able to take all the skills and experience that they have gained here and translate them into a very successful career. Take a look at an article written by a student about a recent Canisius graduate, Erik Taheri ’14, for an example of the great places Canisius students are going.
Those who take part in the Internship Seminar here in the Communication Studies Department are required to attend one networking event during the semester in which they are interning. Christina DiBaudo, one of the students from the Fall 2015 semester, shares her experience at one of these events.
