My time with the Sabres is something that I will never forget. I remember getting hired there about a month into the season and being welcomed by everyone. I have been happy to have made five, really great friendships with my peers that will go on when the season ends. I was able to learn a lot about how things work behind the scenes. You don’t really have an appreciation for how hard people are working to make the product what it is, when you’re just an average fan. I was able to meet a lot of cool people and be in the presence of some amazing world-class athletes which was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. This internship taught me a lot about myself and what I needed to work on. I came in very quiet and reserved but quickly realized I could just be myself. I learned how to speak better and how to hold conversations in a professional setting. For me, it’s bittersweet with the season-ending because I know that going back as a normal fan next year is going to be weird. However, I will always remember the time I had working for my favorite team and I can’t wait to see what’s next.
