Hello again, everyone! This is my third and final blog; but if you haven’t seen my previous two, I encourage you to go read them as well! For this blog, I’ll be reminiscing on my internship.

What I do at Quinlan has changed since the beginning of the semester. In the beginning I mainly did research, but now I actively use tools such as Semrush, Google Sheets, and Google Analytics. I’ve enjoyed working in these programs and I’ve gotten very good at them. One thing about this internship I’m proud of is that I’ve developed skills in these platforms. I think this internship has been greatly beneficial to me because I was able to develop and use these skills in a real-life environment, as opposed to a hypothetical situation in a classroom setting.

Another thing about the Quinlan experience that I enjoyed is that my advisor gave me quite a few books to read, which I’ve compiled into a list in case you, dear reader, would like to check them out:

  • Purple Cow by Seth Godin
  • I Have a Strategy (No You Don’t) by Howell J. Malham
  • Ogilvy on Advertising by David Ogilvy
  • Cultural Strategy by Douglas Holt and Douglas Cameron

Overall, I’m very thankful for being able to intern at Quinlan. I’ve always wanted to work in an ad agency and I was able to finally be in one for my internship. Now that my internship is coming to an end I’m a little bit sad, but I’m glad to know that I’ll be able to apply what I’ve learned at Quinlan into what I do after college.
