While I was nervous to start, as I have anxiety around new people, everyone has been really nice and kind. Abbey-Mecca itself is fairly small, so I don’t feel too left out, or forgotten, while still having enough time to do work assigned to me by myself. So far, I have helped on a few projects with re-formatting and resizing existing adverts, as well as re-touching images that may be used in the future. In addition, I am currently re-designing an event logo, as well as assisting with the layout for the larger advert. I feel like I will not only have a good experience here, in solely practical terms, but also in the community the company has.
