Hi everyone, my name is Dylan Benedict! I am a senior at Canisius College. I double major in Communication studies and Integrated Marketing and Communication. I am an aspiring digital marketer, passionate about making strides in the food industry. My previous internships were at lloyd Taco Factory and Tops Friendly Markets. A long-term goal of mine is to implement more sustainable marketing practices to encourage consumers to make eco-friendly food choices.
I am currently completing my third and final internship this spring semester. This marks the third week of my digital marketing internship at Big Wheelbarrow. They are a SaaS (software as a service) company that enables retail grocers and food distributors to work with local suppliers to create short, efficient, and profitable supply chains. They are located at the Seneca One building downtown, which has the best view in the city.
Big Wheelbarrow focuses on B2B marketing strategies which is much different than my previous C2B experience. I think composing engaging content for a new target audience will be challenging, but I look forward to the challenge. Also, I am eager to work closely with others within the company to further expand my knowledge about supply chains. Overall, I have been settling in nicely, but the office has been quiet, due to the fact that my colleagues have been out of the office. They are all returning to Buffalo this week after working remotely, so I am excited to meet everyone in person!

I am so happy to hear that your colleagues will be returning to the office. What great timing! I think this will really enhance your experience.
Your career path is so thoughtful and meaningful which is so inspiring. I’m glad that you are finding companies to work for that are in the same headspace as you- including your past internship with Lloyds?? So cool!! Also, I can relate to the quiet office, half of the people that work here are out on job sites and rarely in the office, so it’s fun to see everyone when they come in for office parties or lunches!
